Monuments, Flowers & Memorial Tributes


What's Acceptable

Monuments:

  • No monument markers, grave markers, tombstones or structures can be placed within the cemetery or on a plot without a development permit approved by the Chief Administrative Officer. See Cemetery Development Form.

Flowers:

  • Flowers or funeral designs may be added to any monument, grave, tombstone or structure. However, the Chief Administrative Officer has the authority to remove of any weed, grass, funeral design, or floral arrangements if they have become wilted, or are unsightly.

Regulations

Monuments:

  • Monuments have to be mounted on a base exceeding 6 inches
    • Upright monuments cannot exceed
      • 48 inches in height
      • 18 inches in depth
      • 48 inches in width including the base
    • Single monuments spanning multiple plots
      • 48 inches in height
      • 18 inches in depth
      • 36 inches in width per plot, a maximum being 96 inches.
